It should be read together with the standards (or rules) of the organic certification body . For example, Soil Association Certification Limited (SACL) licensees should read this with the Soil Association Organic Standards.

Organic beef and dairy production: an introductory guide
This guide is intended as a simple guide to answer some of the key questions asked by producers about starting an organic beef or dairy enterprise. This booklet takes into account the EU organic livestock regulation (1804/99).
 
Animal Transport
Transport of livestock must be carried out so as to limit the stress suffered by the animals. Loading and unloading must be carried out with caution and without the use of any type of electrical stimulation to coerce the animals. The use of any allopathic tranquilliser, prior to and during transport, is prohibited. During the period leading up to and at the time of slaughter, livestock must be handled in such a way that stress to the animals is reduced to a minimum.
 
Animal production in organic farming (Cattles)
In this presentation are described the general rules for animal husbandry in organic system, disease prevention, breed management and the organic cattle raising in Czech Republic (the importance of raising catlle, breeds of cattle, technology of dairy cows stabling, fattening of cattle in organic farming, raising of beef cattle in organic farming).
