Estos eventos, se han concebido como parte de unmovimiento integrador de técnicos, productores, docentes, investigadores y promotores de la política agraria de nuestro país y del continente. In this conference we wish to look into the motives which penetrate our daily work – what motivates us to be active agriculturally (biodynamically) on this earth? What does the earth need? The ‘answer’ could be in the current way in which we operate on the land and the convictions we hold to work with the earth. The latter has more of a general – ethical or also religious – direction; it is, however, just as individual. In this light, can a mutual self-finding direction be seen, where success is in moving towards the direction of people working together sustainably? We hope it is, and that though this conference the possibility of this direction is opened.

More than 200 participants from 24 different countries have participated in the conference. Around 200 presentations were performed both in oral and poster formats.
Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the T.R.N.C, Mr Nazim Cavuoglu was present in the opening ceremony.
We had 3 keynote lecturers from the U.S.A, the U.K, and France.
The scientific committee consisted of experts from Croatia, France, Italy, Switzerland and Turkey and they were coordinated by Prof.Dr. Uygun Aksoy as the scientific chairperson of the conference.

Despite the inclement weather the 2010 Organic Producer Conference was very well attended and information packed, with many inspirational speakers. Working with the Organic Growers Alliance, The Institute of Organic Training and Advice, The Colloquium of Organic Researchers, GM Freeze and other producer and research groups, the Organic Research Centre pulled together a stimulating and highly informative programme.
There were many speakers giving presentations in sessions designed to inform and maximise the opportunities to participate. The Plenary sessions focused on the big issues of Sustainable Food Security and Climate Change whilst the workshop sessions covered a range of technical and policy issues including livestock nutrition, varieties and breeding, agroforestry, farm economics, nutrient management, animal welfare, GM issues, biodiversity management, market trends and communicating the organic message.

UNCTAD (in collaboration with Food Plus GmbH, i.e. the GLOBALGAP Secretariat, and IFOAM) is organizing an Ad-hoc Expert Meeting on Facilitating Access of Small Organic Farmers in Developing Countries to Supermarket Shelves, which will bring together key stakeholders to discuss:
* the findings of the comparison;
* practical options for developing a joint scheme;
* a roadmap of activities for further development and implementation of such a scheme (e.g. further analysis, field testing and operationalisation of joint scheme).
The meeting will bring together all key stakeholders, including producers, traders, retailers, standard setters and certification bodies.

BIOFACH is a World Organic Trade Fair which is originally from Nurnberg, Germany and is also being organized only in five other countries across the globe (USA, Brazil, China, Japan). The first BioFach India now takes place together with IOTF, the India Organic Trade Fair, in the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, from 18-20 November 2009. Due to parliamentary elections, the government has decreed that the Bombay Exhibition Centre is not available for exhibitions from 23 April to 18 May 2009, which is exactly the period including the premiere of BioFach India. This called for a quick reaction by the organizers at Nürnberg Global Fairs. Here the many years of good contacts with ICCOA, the International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture, the organizer of IOTF, have borne fruit: The premiere of BioFach India 2009 now takes place at the same time as the fifth India Organic Trade Fair from 18-20 November, and ICCOA is the co-organizer of the exhibition duo.

Organised by Organic Monitor, the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit is a CSR event. It the first summit on the natural beauty industry that will give a share of its profits to charitable causes.
